On April 26, a ceremony was held to mark the signing of an academia-industry collaborative agreement between FCU and C Sun Mfg. Ltd., a major precision machinery manufacturer. FCU President Pao-Long Chang and C Sun General Manager Bai-Wei Wang presided over the ceremony. FCU and C Sun have already established a close partnership over the past six years having cooperated in the areas of professional training and R&D. In addition, C Sun has provided FCU students with internship and research opportunities, priority recruitment for job openings and scholarships. The purpose of this current agreement is to continue this fruitful collaboration.
Since 2006, FCU has provided 300 hours of training to more than 700 C Sun employees in the areas of design, marketing, management and creative thinking. In addition, C Sun has generously donated more than NT$1 million in scholarship funds to FCU. Forty outstanding FCU graduates have been recruited by C Sun, with nine currently working as section chiefs or in other management positions.
