Redefining the Place of Learning—Library Resources in the E-generation
In addition to printed books and materials, the FCU Library has a collection of over one million e-books to support research and learning activities. The FCU Library also cooperates with nearly 400 libraries nationwide to provide interlibrary loan services. To complement the development of cloud computing and learning technologies, the FCU Library set up Kreative Commons. The Kreative Commons include digital content exhibition facilities, access to a wide variety of digital learning resources, integrated information, and a platform for study groups, multimedia workshops and student-teacher consultations.
Comprehensive Career Planning and Portfolio Building
Beginning in their freshman year, students receive a personalized Learning Portfolio. This portfolio includes information related to professional skills and soft skills. It is a compilation of a student’s academic career at FCU, including specialized courses, general education courses, extracurricular activities and career development activities. In addition, FCU has developed a comprehensive career planning system which includes certified career guidance counselors who help students to explore career opportunities, as well as to develop a personalized Career Portfolio.
Degree Students
There will be two admission sessions for every academic year , the application deadlines are June 10 for the fall semester and November 10 for the spring semester. You hold Hong Kong or Macau citizenship. You hold People's Republic of China citizenship. You hold R.O.C. citizenship (according to Article 2 of the Law of Nationality). You held R.O.C. citizenship, and renounced it less than 8 years prior to the time of intended admission. Taiwan Scholarship Program
Three central government agencies in Taiwan have joined together to establish the Taiwan Scholarship Program. These include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the National Science Council. Scholarships are provided to outstanding students enrolling in degree programs (undergraduate or graduate) or pre-degree Mandarin Chinese Language Enrichment Program. Scholarship applications should be made at a Taiwan Overseas Representative Office. Applicants shall show evidence of excellent academic performance in their most recent formal education experience, as well as good character and lack of criminal record. Evaluation of scholarship renewal applications shall be carried out by the university in which the scholarship recipient is enrolled. Scholarship renewals are based on academic performance with a minimum required grade average of 60 out of 100 for undergraduates and 70 out of 100 for graduate students. Feng Chia University International Students Scholarship Program
Feng Chia University facilitates the International Students Scholarship Program for overseas Chinese and international undergraduate and graduate degree students. Two types of scholarships are offered: waiver of the full tuition and miscellaneous fees and waiver of half of the tuition and miscellaneous fees. International students shall first apply for the Taiwan Scholarship. International students from countries in which the Taiwan Scholarship program is not available or who are not approved for a Taiwan Scholarship may apply to the FCU International Students Scholarship Program. Application to this scholarship program can be made together with application for admission to the university. Scholarship decisions shall be made according to previous academic performance and evidence of student potential. To renew this scholarship, application must be made to the Office of International Affairs before the announced deadline.
